Market Launch Framework
Market Launch AI Act Readiness Framework
The Market Launch AI Act Readiness Framework classifies an AI system into one of four risk classes under EU Regulation 2024/1689 — unacceptable, high, limited, minimal — and derives the applicable obligations and the Digital-Omnibus-updated timeline from that classification.
The common assumption is: our AI system is probably “high-risk.” That’s rarely accurate. Classification determines the entire set of obligations — and can be assessed systematically across four clearly separated classes instead of assumed.
The four risk classes
- Unacceptable — prohibited, no exceptions.
- High-risk — conformity assessment, registration, regulatory oversight.
- Limited risk — transparency obligations, including the Article 50 labeling requirement (C2PA standard, statistical watermarking as a technical fallback).
- Minimal risk — no additional statutory obligations.
The Market Launch AI Act Readiness Framework is a subset of the Market Launch DACH Trust Stack (the Governance & Compliance dimension).
